The power of music how it can benefit health

One of the most common things we hear when someone is suffering from illness or illness is that "Music can help," but it turns out there are also many other benefits to listening to your favorite tunes. Below, I'll discuss some of them.

1. Positive Effects on Your Mood

The fact that you're feeling better doesn't mean you have a musical cure-all for every single problem in the world. For example, if you've just been up all night with anxiety about the upcoming exams or if you're scared that you need a little extra time to figure out what's wrong. Maybe you need something other than music to lift your spirits, while others might need more than just the occasional song blasting and loud noise. There's no excuse why you shouldn't listen to your favs and dance in your car, as long as you're not overusing it. You don't want to be depressed after the last minute of your work presentation. Don't you?

2. Relieves Stress

Music has been proven to relieve stress as well. Take a seat next to me for a second, because I think I know why. When I'm doing my homework, I do it by writing myself notes all down on paper. If nothing else, I like to listen to songs I love especially during classes. My teachers would always ask, am I not nervous? It gets the point across. They give us something to look forward to, which helps calm our nerves. The same thing happens to listeners of rockers. A singer's voice sounds soothing in the background, while the guitar chords make a happy atmosphere in your living room. In this way, music brings people together, providing something to bond around and feel good about and even cheer you up along the process of getting through your assignment.

3. Improves Memory

Some people experience memory loss due to certain diseases. This makes them forget their homework, talk to strangers, or forget where they came from when they go home. I think for some reason, this is more common in women, who unfortunately are very sensitive to depression. Luckily for you though, we can often improve memory by listening to positive songs. Just try not to listen to too much classical music. People can tell when they have memory problems. Sometimes you simply don't realize what's happening until the end of the day and you hear your favourite song. We all have times of our life where there's something we can listen or remember. Be thankful for your memory and enjoy it while it lasts, especially if it means being able to perform at an awesome show!

4. Helps Improve Concentration

Music is like food. It tastes different, smells different, and feels different, which is why some foods sound so bitter. But people, who are sensitive to smell, do not mind. Most people enjoy chewing gum during class to relieve stress, so let a few tunes blast softly. No one wants to have a headache after a hard day at school, so turn up your playlist before you start talking. Not only will it help you stay focused, but you could also benefit by going to sleep. Listening to calming tunes helps keep calm, and you'll find yourself falling asleep faster, getting less sick and looking younger. And hey, don't forget how powerful songs are in helping you concentrate...

5. Help With Weight Gain

Music is a great way to combat appetite cravings and lose weight. Some foods we eat can easily trigger hunger and lead to overeating. Another issue is that music gives you something to look forward to. That will help put you back on track. Do you want to lose 10 pounds? Then, turn your phone sideways, tune into your favorite artist, watch a movie or TV series, etc. No one likes watching a movie when they're hungry for a snack. So, use this time to take control of your body and stop craving anything they like.

6. Stimulates Sleep

Music is amazing for sleeping. According to studies, listening to soft music can boost melatonin production which is melatonin hormone produced by fat cells. What it means is that your body goes into fight or flight mode all day long, so it needs something to help reduce the fear of getting sick! On top of that, it's even known to release serotonin when you want to sleep and that's great for our brain. Who wouldn't want to fall asleep at least a little bit longer?

7. Removes Pain

According to experiments, certain noises help alleviate inflammatory pain in subjects suffering from arthritis or arthritis sufferers. Even better than a physical analgesic, say in the form of a song. Research shows that people with arthritis have lower levels of the amino acid adenosine and a study on mice that were injected with a protein called gabapentin, showed it reduces inflammation. Try turning Spotify onto full volume and let it play your favorites, whether you like traditional rock, soul or country songs, and see if it helps your inflammation. Or listen to a funny podcast or Youtube video, and just enjoy. It's always fun to listen to different genres and pick out your favs. Not only does it help relieve back pain, but it may help relieve the symptoms of chronic pain. Remember, the first thing you have to learn in order to relieve your knee pain is how to use it correctly the right way, then move on. Let the music do the rest!

8. Improves Cardiovascular Health

According to medical research, people who are in the highest risk groups for heart disease should be making sure they listen to the radio or watch videos of healthy eating. These kinds of documentaries will teach you how to eat, what to avoid, how important it is to get regular exercise, and other similar tips. Also, it can help you change your lifestyle. Nowadays, we have such technologies as cellular phones, computers and tablets. All you need is a laptop and internet access to stay connected to your online learning.
